Start with required flow
For duties up to 140 L/min, compare SCM and CPM first. For 30–65 m³/h, start with SHF.
Clean-water transfer & pressure
Three clean-water centrifugal families, separated by the job: compact circulation, higher-head supply or high-volume transfer.
Choose the hydraulic character before the model. SCM suits compact circulation and utility transfer, CPM covers daily supply and higher-head pressure duties, while SHF moves much larger volumes through 3–4 inch pipework at moderate head. Final selection must still be confirmed at the actual duty point.

For utility transfer, HVAC circulation, garden supply and building services where a compact pump and balanced duty are the priority.
DUTY-POINT GUIDE
The three series do different hydraulic jobs. Use the required flow and total head first, then confirm installation conditions and the exact Q–H curve.
For duties up to 140 L/min, compare SCM and CPM first. For 30–65 m³/h, start with SHF.
SCM reaches 22–32 m, CPM extends to 20–40 m, while SHF is designed around 14–16 m at much higher flow.
Confirm suction lift, priming and inlet losses. SCM and CPM use 1-inch connections; SHF uses 3–4-inch pipework.
Open the selected series and place the required flow and head on its Q–H curve before choosing the final model.
Selection rule: SCM for compact balanced duty, CPM when more head is needed, and SHF when the project is driven by large flow and large pipework.
OPERATING BOUNDARIES
The Q–H duty point selects the hydraulic size. These limits decide whether a surface centrifugal pump is suitable for the site at all.
Send these four items once. They are enough to check the family, locate the duty point and shortlist a model.
Required flow and total dynamic head, including static lift and pipe friction.
Tank, supply line, river, lake or well; include water level variation and suction arrangement.
Voltage, frequency, phase, starting method and any pressure or flow control requirement.
Hours per day, starts per hour, ambient condition, quantity and delivery country.
ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS
Only the questions that affect suitability or move the duty point are kept here.
No. These families are intended for clean, non-aggressive water without abrasive particles, fibers or solids. Use a sewage or solids-handling pump for contaminated water.
No. It is a catalog maximum. Pipe friction, fittings, air leakage, water temperature, altitude and the actual water level reduce available suction performance.
Choose a JSW jet pump when self-priming suction duty is central, a QB peripheral pump for compact high-head low-flow service, or an LW(Z) booster when automatic pressure control is required.
WHEN ANOTHER PUMP FITS BETTER
These are not upgrades or downgrades. They solve different suction, pressure and control requirements.
For shallow sources and suction-lift duties where self-priming behavior is a primary requirement.
